The FURA Model

Learn. Experience. Create.

Our three-step model ensures students arrive at the farm prepared, leave with a real experience, and carry the learning forward through creative reflection.

Step 1 · Friday in School

Learn in the Classroom

Every Friday, a trained FURA educator visits the school and delivers a structured theory session. Students are introduced to concepts in agriculture, ecology, folk culture, and nutrition — priming their curiosity before the outdoor experience.

  • Curriculum-linked content for Class 1 to Class 10
  • Interactive worksheets, storytelling, and visual aids
  • Concept introduction aligned to next day's farm activity
  • Activity briefing and field preparation guidance
1
Step 2 · Saturday at the Farm

Experience on the Farm

The very next day, students visit the farm and apply what they learned in the classroom. Sessions are structured, supervised, and designed to make abstract concepts feel real — through farming, folk art, rural games, and healthy food experiences.

  • Hands-on farm activities: sowing, watering, harvesting
  • Folk art, pottery, rural games, and cultural immersion
  • Millet tasting, nutrition awareness, welcome natural drinks
  • Mandatory farm costume, mentor-supervised safety zones
2
Step 3 · Reflection & Output

Reflect, Create & Apply

After the farm experience, students consolidate their learning through creative output — journaling, artwork, group discussions, or waste-to-art projects. This closes the learning loop and builds lasting connection with what they experienced.

  • Reflection worksheets and guided group discussion
  • Waste-to-art projects from farm materials
  • Student showcase and presentation opportunities
  • Connection back to classroom curriculum and life skills
3

The Friday → Saturday → Reflection cycle repeats throughout the academic term, building cumulative knowledge and a genuine relationship with nature.

What We Offer

Eight Pillars of Experiential Learning

Future Ready Agriculture Academy (FURA) is not just a farm visit. Our programs weave together agriculture, folk arts, rural culture, ecology, and nutrition — giving schools a genuinely holistic outdoor education partnership.

Agriculture

Agriculture & Organic Farming

From soil preparation to organic harvesting — students engage with real crops, understand seasonal cycles, and experience the discipline and joy of growing food from seed to table.

Art & Culture

Folk Arts & Rural Culture

Pottery, weaving, natural dyeing, Warli art, and folk storytelling. Students discover India's rich rural heritage and build creative expression rooted in living tradition.

Nature Science

Nature & Ecology Learning

Bird walks, soil science, composting, plant identification, and water cycle understanding. Students develop a genuine connection with the natural world around them.

Modern Farming

Hydroponics & Soilless Culture

Students learn and experiment with modern growing methods — hydroponics, aquaponics, and soilless media. Bridges traditional farming wisdom with future food technology.

Nutrition

Healthy Millet Food Awareness

Millet varieties, traditional recipes, seed-to-plate journeys, and honest conversations about diet, junk food, gut health, and the power of traditional Indian food culture.

Sustainability

Waste-to-Art & Creative Sustainability

Agricultural waste becomes artwork, craft, and story. Students learn environmental responsibility through creativity — turning discarded materials into something meaningful and beautiful.

School Campus

Terrace Gardening in Schools

FURA helps schools set up productive terrace gardens on campus — giving students a living lab for urban farming, composting, and ecology right within school premises.

Seasonal

Summer Camps

Immersive multi-day programs during school vacations — combining weekly farm sessions, art workshops, folk culture, nutrition education, and outdoor exploration for a full experiential break.

Seamless Integration

Integrated for Classes 1–10

Junior Nature Module

We offer a specially designed, lighter program for younger students (Classes 1–3). It is seamlessly integrated with our main modules, focusing entirely on sensory play, safety, and early introduction to the natural world.

Learn About the Junior Module

Sensory Nature Experience

Seed sowing, gentle plant observation, and safe, supervised garden walks to build early tactile connection.

Play & Creativity

Nature storytelling, basic folk games, and simple clay or leaf-print art projects.

Early Food Awareness

Gentle introductions to where food comes from and why healthy eating matters.

Ultra-Safe Environment

Shorter duration, higher mentor-to-student ratios, and completely isolated safe zones.

Safety & Trust

Your Students Are Our Responsibility

School management trusts us with their students. We take that seriously. Every FURA session is planned, supervised, and transparent.

Dedicated Child-Safe Activity Zones

Every activity area is assessed and designated safe before students arrive. Hazardous areas are clearly marked and completely off-limits.

Trained & Certified Mentors

All FURA volunteers are trained in child supervision, first aid, and age-appropriate facilitation. Mentor-to-student ratios are strictly maintained.

End-to-End Transport Responsibility

Where transport is opted, FURA takes full responsibility from school gate to farm and back — with verified drivers and accompanying mentors.

Supervised Farm Pond (Under 2 Feet)

For younger students, any water-based activity is conducted in a controlled farm pond maintained at a maximum of 2 feet depth, under direct mentor supervision at all times.

Mandatory Farm Costume

All students wear a FURA farm costume before entering the farmland — creating safety awareness, farm identity, and a clear visual boundary between learning zones.

School Communication & Consent

Parents and school management receive a full safety briefing, activity schedule, and consent process before each session. Nothing is unplanned.

Every session is fully documented and communicated to the school coordinator.

FURA operates on a transparent school-partnership model. Principals and coordinators receive full activity reports, parent communication templates, and consent documentation.
